As with previous seasons, we are desperately short of table officials for our home basketball fixtures. If you have any interesting in getting involved and helping officiate games, then please contact us - your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
A provisional fixture list for games leading up to Christmas as been posted on the training sessions page. As most of you will be aware, all fixtures are subject to confirmation - so please check back regularly for any changes and updates. It should also be noted that as our home fixtures share the same booking as our Thursday scrimmage sessions – so each Thursday home fixture means a cancelled Thursday scrimmage session.
Details regarding registering players for the 2009-10 basketball season were emailed around to the senior team last week. If you had planned to register for the upcoming season and have not received any details from the club, please get in contact or make yourself know at the next training session.
I am very pleased to announce that the Guildford Goats senior men’s team has secured a second training session. This will run at Christ’s College in Guildford, Thursday evenings from 20:00-22:00, costing £5 per player. Alongside our Tuesday evening training session at Broadwater School, the session will serve as both an open scrimmage session, and a venue for our home fixtures. If you wish to attend, please check our website or contact us to ensure we don’t have any clashing home fixtures. Please check the training sessions page for more details.
Our entry into the Surrey Men’s league competition has been submitted and accepted. Following the success of the previous season, we will be playing this season in the premier division. Application forms will be forwarded to all players soon – please stay tuned for more details.
In a change from previous years, our senior men’s training sessions will continue to run at Broadwater School through the whole of the summer. For more details, please check the training sessions page.
